Tom Smiley, RPh, BscPhm, Pharm D., is a pharmacist who managed a community pharmacy in Southern Ontario for 16 years before returning to school and receiving his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1998 from the University of Toronto. Tom is now President of Pharmavision Health Consulting Inc., providing continuing education to health providers in areas which help to move clinical practice forward and adapt to the changing environment of today's professional practice settings. Tom has a particular interest in nurturing interprofessional relationships and interdisciplinary care models and in 2008 was presented with the Canadian Pharmacist of the Year award by the Canadian Pharmacists Association. |
