Health eLearning.ca Website Launch Contest Rules

Open to all Canadian residents who are at least 18 years old, excluding residents of Quebec, employees (and their immediate families and persons with whom they are domiciled) of Pear Health Care Solutions Inc. and any of its respective sponsors and affiliates (collectively the “Sponsors”) are also excluded from eligibility.
Prize will be awarded in a random draw to be held approximately four (4) months from the launch date of the Health eLearning website or about March 1, 2012. The first person selected in such random draw who has correctly answered a skill testing trivia question to be provided by the contest administrators will win the Prize.
Each person who submits a pre-registration for the Health eLearning program shall be eligible for the draw. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
This contest is subject to all Canadian federal, provincial, and municipal laws. Void where prohibited.
The Prize to be awarded will be prepaid Visa worth $500. Chances of winning will depend on the number of eligible registrants/entrants. In order to win the contest, the eligible registrant, whose name is randomly drawn, must correctly answer a skill-testing trivia question.
Within five (5) calendar days of the draw date, the selected entrant will be contacted by email at the email address indicated on the entry by the entrant. Should a selected entrant not be reached within five (5) calendar days of the first attempted contact, the entry will be null and void and another entry will be randomly selected from among the remaining eligible entries. The winner will be advised how to claim his/her prize.
The Prize must be accepted as awarded, and may not be transferred, substituted or converted to cash, except as provided in these rules. The Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event that any prize cannot be awarded or fulfilled for any reason and, in such circumstances, none of the Sponsors will be liable to the winner of such prize for anything other than the awarding of a substitute prize by the Sponsors. The Sponsors make no express or implied warranties of any kind with respect to safety, appearance or performance of the Prize or any activity connected with any prize.
Except as provided for in paragraph 13 below, by entering this contest, each Entrant consents to the collection, use and distribution of his/her personal information (information that identified the Entrant as an individual, such as full name, email address, and registrant type--e.g., pharmacist, pharmacy technician, etc.) by the Sponsors, for the purposes of implementing, administering and fulfilling this contest and in connection with the Health eLearning registration process. The Sponsors will not sell or transmit this information to third parties, except for the purposes of administering the contest, and in connection with the Health eLearning registration process.
No responsibility is assumed by the Sponsors for any technical problems in connection with the transmission or receipt of any e-mail entry including malfunction of any telephone or network lines, faulty electronic data transmissions, traffic congestion, in the Internet or website, hardware or software error, equipment failure or malfunction, or other on-line communications problems. No liability or responsibility is assumed by the Sponsors resulting from any user's attempt to participate in this contest or download any information in connection with participating in this contest. The Sponsors reserve the right, in their discretion, to cancel or suspend this contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsors, corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest.
The Sponsors reserve the right to prohibit an Entrant from participating in the contest or winning the Prize, if, in their sole discretion, the Sponsors determine that the Entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automatic quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse or threaten or harass any other Entrants or the Sponsors or their representatives. The Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any Entrant failing to comply with these Rules. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsors reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
All Entrants must acknowledge and agree that the personal information that they have provided will be maintained on the Sponsors' server and/or the server of those responsible for maintaining the Health eLearning website and/or administering the contest.
The Sponsors and its agents are not responsible for printing, distribution, technical or production errors, including hardware, software, systems or transmissions failures, and may terminate or withdraw any contest if such errors are discovered, without liability and without notice, at their sole discretion. The Sponsors reserve the right to modify or cancel the promotion in whole or in part.
By entering this contest, each Entrant agrees to comply fully with these Rules, and, for each winning Entrant, to the use of his/her name, image, photograph, voice, place of residence and/or statement regarding the Prize by the Sponsors, for advertising, promotion or publicity purposes, without compensation.
